Obituary for
Charlotte Taylor Pietrucci
Charlotte Taylor Pietrucci, 73, passed away Sept.9th after a brief battle with cancer (melanoma). In the early 90’s she relocated to Florida with her husband, Mario Pietrucci, but maintained her strong ties to Virginia through her children, extended family, and lifelong friends. Charlotte was born in Virginia Beach to the late Walter and Irene Taylor; she was also predeceased by her grandparents, Louis and Lily Walters, all of Virginia Beach. Although her recent years were spent in Florida, she had deep roots in Virginia. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, she graduated from Princess Ann High School and was active in her local chapter of Jobs Daughters where she served as Honor Queen. As an adult, she was active in the American Business Woman’s Association where she was awarded the honor of Woman of the Year. She loved all things related to decorating and earned a certificate in Interior Design from Tidewater Community College. She later combined those skills with a real estate license and worked as a real estate agent in Chesapeake. She had a true gift for seeing possibility in all spaces and turning an ordinary house into a breathtakingly beautiful home. She was known for her love of decorating, shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family over a glass of wine. She will be celebrated by family and friends in both Florida and Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Mario Pietrucci; son, Kerry Bolton (Kathy) of Tennessee; daughter, Lynnette Bolton of Chesapeake; step-children, Angela Bell (Bud), Anthony Pietrucci (Danette), Andrea Beavers (Jeff), Andrew Pietrucci; her sister, Beverly Taylor Woolford (Harold) of Florida; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
