Patricia Marie Payne, 66, passed away March 31, 2016. Pat was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis and Marie Griffith Nefoske. She was a Norfolk Public School teacher for 23 years, an administrator for 10 years, and a Regent University online professor. Pat was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, Chesapeake and a member of Elam Baptist Church, Gumberry, NC.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 30 years, Billy R. Payne, Jr.; son, Zachary Payne (Casi); grandchildren, David and Kaylee; brothers, Francis Anthony Nefoske (Cheryl) and Tim Nefoske; as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 4, 2016 from Noon to 1 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Reggie Hester officiating. A reception will follow at Bethel Baptist Church, 1832 Elbow Rd, Chesapeake. She will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
