Minister Donald F. Long, Doctor of Ministry, went to be with his Savior. Donald was born in New Rochelle, NY to the late Ruth Long; and was predeceased by his younger brother, Kenneth Long.

Our beloved Donald served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after sustaining a service connected disability. Donald Long married Valerie Jeffrey Long in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Valerie, step-son, Jaquan, step-daughter, Lisa and family, church family, and many, many friends. He is surely missed.

Minister Donald Long was baptized in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit. He was devoted and faithful servant of The Lord. Minister Donald F. Long, D Min, devoted his life to the Great Commission, preaching the Good News and the Way of Salvation.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his home-going will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Elder Vincent Geter of Greater Refuge Temple, Chesapeake officiating.
