Helen Lawson Peterson, 91, passed away November 4, 2015 in Stow, OH. Helen was born in Onedia, IL to the late Elmer and Alice Nelson Lawson and was the loving wife of the late Wilbur S. Peterson. She retired as a Registered Nurse with Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital; she was also a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, had served as the Sunday School Secretary for many years and was a member of the church bowling league.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Peterson, Alice Harris and her husband, Michael, Richard Peterson, Robin Peterson, Samuel Peterson; sister, Doris Wehr; eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2 pm to 4 pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10 am at Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, 1000 Crowell Avenue, Chesapeake with Pastor Shannon D. Terhune officiating. Burial will follow at 12 noon at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
