Emmitt Franklin Totty 92, went to be with the Lord on Dec 16, 2018. He was a veteran of WWII and was born in Petersburg, VA to Emmitt A. and Etta P. Totty. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Josephine, a son Kenneth and his brother Alvin. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjory Hamilton Totty; his son, Emmitt Jr (Ann); daughter, Donna Griffin (Tony); 3 step children, James Hamilton (Patty), Barry Hamilton and Annette Brownley; 9 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was a long-time member and former deacon of Indian River Baptist Church and retired from Southern Weighing and Inspection Bureau.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 21, at Indian River Baptist Church with visitation afterwards. Burial will be private.
