Waverly L. Harrell, Sr., 88, passed away October 6, 2018. He was born to the late Robert and Pearl Starboard Harrell. Waverly served in the Air Force from 1948-1957 and spent 10 months deployed to Korea during the Korean War and retired after 31 years with Virginia Transit, now Hampton Roads Transit. He was a member of Portlock United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret Harrell; children, David Harrell(Brenda), Barbara Waldron (Jack), and Robert Harrell; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 6-7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Albert G.
