Condolence: Bob was a dear friend who always wanted to be known as "Sweet Old Bob", a contradiction if I ever heard one. Bob's heart was always with the Navy and its sailors. Though many never knew him, all who were lucky enough to serve in Norfolk received the benefit of the moral, welfare and recreation services he provided. Bob was a genius at providing world class services on a shoestring. He was a true patriot and an inspiration to the many who knew and admired him. I was lucky and knew him as a friend. He will be missed but I suspect he has already opened up a gym in heaven and is handing out towels and gymsuits even as we pay our farewells. God speed old friend.
