The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Linda Whitaker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Barbara Nix
Condolence: Robyn, I want to pass on to you something that a friend said to me. When she heard my mom had passed, she said that my mom was "free" now. It's so true. My landlord said right before his mom passed away, she came to for a little bit just long enough to let them know she had already seen where she was going and it was a happy and bright place, and for her children not to worry about her. My dad almost passed away once before he actually passed away. I asked him if he saw the light and he said no but he saw people and they were celebrating. They are fine, but we are the ones that are sad and for that I'm so sorry.

Condolence: Robyn, So Very Sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I pray for Peace and Comfort for you, and for all your family. Comforting to know that you and your brothers were with her at her time, and that Bill and all her beloved Grandchildren were able to visit with her in the preceding weeks. A great testiment to a loving and caring family.

Condolence: My condolences to the Whitaker families. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Linda. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.
