Bertha Ruth Oliver
Bertha Ruth Oliver, 87, passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2018. She was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late George and Nellie Mayers Cavander on February 3, 1931. She was also predeceased by her husband, James D. Oliver, Sr. Bertha loved life and spending time with her family, she enjoyed having fun but also loved her personal time reading her books.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving sons, George Oliver and his wife Cindy, and James Oliver Jr. grandchildren, Monica Oliver, Melinda Abinal, Jamie Oliver, and Brandy Oliver, great-grandchildren, Destiny Oliver and Marianne Abinal, and sisters, Betty Mewbourn and Josey Andrews.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11 am at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake, VA 23320. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to offer a note of condolence to the family and to view a live web casting of her service.
