When I was 7 years old my mother married Tommy, as we called dad then. We were living in navy housing in Long Beach Calif IAt that time Tommy was a third class engeerman making very little money. I noticed that Tommy always wore his navy work clothes when he was home. I aked Mom one day why Tommy never wore civilian clothes when he was home. mom said he can't afford to buy civilian clothes for himself and school clothes for you and your sister. I am now 71 but I never forgot what Mom said. That is the kind of Man B.R. Thomas was, he was the only real father I ever had. Thank you Dad from the family you always put ahead of yourself.
